Once again David Villa has demonstrated his solidarity by collaborating in the 14th edition of the international campaign “Un juguete, una ilusión” (“one toy, one hope”). The Spanish striker stars in the television advert to promote this charitable campaign, which collects funds in order to distribute more than half a million toys to children in Spain, Africa and Latin America.
The campaign, organized by RNE and the Foundation Crecer Jugando, has distributed 6.5 million toys and has opened over 2,000 play centers throughout the world since it started in 2000.
Children up to 16 years old in vulnerable circumstances receive gifts that are bought with the aid of money raised by selling “solidarity pens” throughout Spain via post offices, toyshops and department stores. There are more than 3,000 points of sale throughout Spain.
